Gary Friedrich |
Gary Friedrich's extensive writing credits
include 1960s romance comics and Blue Beetle for
Charlton comics before moving to Marvel and scripting
such titles as Millie the Model, Rawhide Kid and Kid
Colt, as well as the re-introduction of the Ghost Rider
(with artist Dick Ayers) and a run on Sgt. Fury and his
Howling Commandos (also with Dick Ayers). Other
credits include the Hulk, Daredevil, X-Men, Captain
America and Marvel Team-Up, plus many more. |

Eric Powell is the creator of the

Renee Witterstaetter |
A writer,
editor and publisher, Ms. Witterstaetter
has worked on such titles as Superman, Silver Surfer,
Conan and Conan Saga, as well as spearheading the
introduction of She-Hulk for Marvel Comics.
For
Topps Co, she was the editor on X-Files, Jurassic Park,
Xena and Hercules and the co-creator—with Jackie Chan
and artist Michael Golden-- of Jackie Chan's Spartan X.
She was also the colorist on hundreds of comics from the
Avengers to Spiderman to Captain America, plus many
more.

Bernie Wrightson |
Illustrator Bernie Wrightson, is one of the legends in
the comics business for
his amazing and detailed work on House of Secrets and
Swamp Thing, as well as his work on an illustrated
edition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, among many other
credits. He is celebrating his 40th anniversary as
a professional illustrator and the 25th anniversary of
his illustrated edition of Frankenstein
Mr.
Wrightson will appear ONLY on Saturday and ONLY from
opening of the show until about 3 PM. He will NOT
appear on Sunday. A family matter has arisen that
requires him to leave the show early, however he has
been kind enough to agree to appear for most of one day
rather than to cancel his appearance altogether. |

Burchett |
Rick has worked on many titles
during his years in the industry. An Eisner
award-winning artist, he is now best known for his work on
the various titles based on the animated adventures of
Batman, including Batman Adventures, Batman & Robin
Adventures, Batman: Gotham Adventures and Batman Beyond.
He has also worked on Pulp Fantastic and the Batman/Huntress miniseries.
Some of his most recent work was on the crime-noir book

Hector Casanova |
Kansas City area creator Hector Casanova is
the artist of the newly released Screamland for Image Comics.
In 2001, Hector produced the regular strip Guffman and
Godot for the Kansas City Star and has done occasional
strips for them since then. |

Artist Anna Maria Cool has worked on such titles
as Barbie and Barbie Fashion, as well as illustrating a series of Oz books.
Her upcoming project is a 6-issue Katy Keene mini-series for Archie Comics, written by

Rudy is a Kansas City area resident

local comic book retailer-turned creator William Binderup
of Elite Comics. |
Jeremy
Haun |
Jeremy is one of the creators of
Paradigm and has worked with B. Clay Moore on Battle
Hymn for Image Comics and The Leading Man for Oni.
His work also includes Civil War: Iron Man/Captain America
for Marvel and he is currently working on New Excalibur
for Marvel. |
Phil
Hester |
Phil has worked on many titles, including Clerks: The Lost
Years and
Coffin. He was the penciller (working with Ande
Parks as inker) on Uncle Slam, Firedog and the
Irredeemable Ant-Man, as well as a
long run DC's popular Green Arrow. |
Jennifer Janesko |
Jennifer, a Kansas native and a
Kansas City area resident, is an internationally known
glamour and pin-up artist. She will display and
offer for sale many original glamour and pin-up paintings,

Mr. Jones, a Kansas City area
resident, has worked in comics and science fiction for
more than 25 years and is one of the top writers in field.
He has worked on many titles, including Alien Worlds,
Savage Sword of Conan, Call of Duty and Kingpin. He is
best known in recent years for his popular run on one of
Marvel's premier titles, The Incredible Hulk. He is
currently under exclusive contract with DC Comics and his
