Elizabeth is an Edgar Award-winning mystery author, whose books have been translated into multiple languages, with an international following and fans worldwide. She is the author of the Myrtle Hardcastle Mystery Series, winner of the Edgar Award by the Mystery Writers of America for the first book in the series, Premeditated Myrtle, and named an Edgar Award finalist for the third book, Cold-Blooded Myrtle. She is a three-time finalist for both the Agatha Christie Award and Anthony Boucher Award. Her 2022 release, In Myrtle Peril, won the Silver Falchion Award. She also writes fantasy for young adults, including A Curse Dark as Gold, which won the American Library Association’s William C. Morris Award for a young adult debut novel and was named a Smithsonian Notable Book. Two of her novels have appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s Kids’ Reading List and she’s been honored by the Library of Congress.  Elizabeth is an avid “maker”—she is also a historical costumer, cosplayer, and needlewoman.  She has been a featured guest and panelist at numerous conventions, including San Diego Comic-Con, and is a frequent Planet Comicon guest.  She enjoys giving writing workshops to groups across the U.S. for kids and adults.
